In April 2016, Dance Kix started with just 5 weekly classes in Boyne Island and Calliope and within 10 weeks we reached our first major milestone of 100 students! Little did we know that Dance Kix students would triple in three short years and our team would include 10 inspiring and caring teachers.
The first three years have been a whirlwind of hard work and success. Our hard working team of teachers continue to inspire our students to refine their dance skills and empower students to embrace who they are and be the best versions of themselves. In fostering a friendly and nurturing environment for our students, we’ve seen friendships blossom and confidence levels soar – ultimately that’s what it’s all about!
The local community have been incredibly supportive, in 2016, 2017 and 2018 Dance Kix was recognised with nominations in the Gladstone Best in Business Awards, and we were delighted to walk away as the winner of two awards in 2018; The Best Individual Service and Business to Watch. In addition to this, we were National Finalists in the 2018 What’s on for Kids Awards; Local Activity for kids aged 5-12 years and again in 2019 were national winners of two What’s on for Kids Awards! In 2021 we were also nominated in 3 categories for the What’s on for Kids Awards being awarded a Highly Commended for Best Customer Focus. In 2022 we are honoured to be nominated once again!
It’s been a wonderful 9 years, and we can’t wait to see where the next six years takes us!
