Junior and Intermediate
Classical Ballet provides the foundation for all other dance forms!
Exercises are repeated each week, to build muscle memory, strength, flexibility, agility , poise and grace. Students also retain the opportunity to explore the element of self expression through creative exercises and interactive storytelling through movement. Students will learn ballet terminology, body awareness, spacial awareness and many other elements which are key to the foundations of dance.
Junior Ballet: Grades 1 - 3
This class offers the fundamentals of classical technique, correct posture and basic ballet vocabulary, all in a creative and stimulating environment. We encourage students to translate music to movements and introduce imaginative role-play - all while keeping in mind the attention spans of our young dancers. Grand jetes, pirouettes, arabesques and more will all become part of your child’s vocabulary and they will be pirouetting around the house in no time!
Intermediate Ballet/Lyrical Contemporary: Grades 4 - 10
The foundations of this class is Classical Ballet, dancers extend their knowledge to include contemporary/lyrical dance too. We focus on technique, coordination, flexibility and building our core strength. We explore the beauty of expressing emotion through movement and the idea of taking inspiration from personal experiences, music and lyrics to build an emotive dance piece.
